Caravan & Recreational Vehicles

Waroona offers two privately run caravan parks. Waroona Caravan Village is in town (special rates for fully self-contained RVs) www.waroonavillage.com.au and Lake Navarino Holiday Park (CMCA Dollar Wise Park) is in the forest www.navarino.com.au. 

Caravan and Recreational Clubs are also welcome to arrange stays at Hamel Hall or Waroona Town Oval, both of which are managed by the Shire. For further information contact Shire of Waroona Customer Service Officer on 9733 7800 or email cso@waroona.wa.gov.au.  

Sullage Point

A sullage point is located at the Waroona Town Oval adjacent to the Walmsley Pavilion off Millar Street, Waroona.

Free Recreational Vehicle Short Stay Areas

The Shire welcomes visitors to enjoy our three free recreational vehicle short stay areas all year round.

 Recreational Vehicles (RV) must be a caravan, bus, coach or similar that is designed and used for recreational use that are:

  • Fitted with an operable integrated black water waste system with a holding tank; and
  • A grey water waste system that is capable of capturing grey water without it being deposited on the ground (an integrated holding tank is not required).

Types of Recreational Vehicles

 The following conditions apply to all three sites:

  • The time frame between one period of stay and the next period by the same RV is 5 consecutive nights;
  • Erecting a fixed annex is not permitted;
  • Clotheslines external to an RV are not permitted;
  • Accessing any power outlet is not permitted; and
  • Camp or cooking fires are prohibited at all times.

 RV use and camping in areas other than the three sites below is prohibited.

 RV use and camping in the incorrect area will contravene the Shire’s local laws and the Caravan Parks and Camping Grounds Act 1995, and can be dealt with by modified penalties.

Preston Beach

Located off the Preston Beach carpark with an entry point off Mitchell Road as illustrated below.

Additional conditions include:

  •  Maximum period of stay is 48 hours only.

Waroona Showgrounds

Located on the old basketball courts on South Western Highway with entry points off Millar Street and Parnell Street as illustrated below.

Additional conditions include:

  • Maximum period of stay is 24 hours only; and
  • Maximum of 5 RVs at any one time.
