Ebb+Flow Workshop 1

Monday 12th August 2024

During August and September, the Shire of Waroona will be hosting the Act Belong Commit Ebb+Flow Exhibition. The artwork, created by artists in collaboration with community in each region of Western Australia, explores how changes in our personal lives and regional communities are often temporary. That there are periods of decline and growth, drought and rain, hardship and prosperity…that factors outside of our control ebb+flow.

Peel artist Deidre Robb, who’s artwork ‘Stitches in Time’ features in the exhibition, will be hosting a series of three community workshops to create a new piece of artwork with the theme of ‘I love this place’.

Join Deidre for the first workshop on Monday 12 August, between 9.30am and 11.30am at the Waroona Community Resource Centre. Call in and have a cuppa and conversation to find out more about the project and to discuss what you love about our community. Your thoughts and feelings from the day will be generated into words to be used in the creation of the new artwork. This workshop is suitable for everyone – you don’t have to be arty or creative.

The Ebb+Flow tour to Waroona is a collaboration between Shire of Waroona, North Midlands Project and the Regional Arts Network, proudly partnering with Healthway and Regional Arts WA to promote the Act Belong Commit message.
