Holding a Public Event in the Shire of Waroona

If you are planning on holding a public event or gathering in the Shire of Waroona, you may be required to apply for approval from the Shire.

A Public Event Application is required to be completed if any of the following apply to your event:

  • The event being held on Shire of Waroona land or in a Shire owned venue
  • Your event is open to the public
  • Your expected attendance is over 100 people
  • You will have food and drink available to purchase
  • You will have large amusements at your event
  • You will have animals at your event i.e. Petting Zoo
  • There will be camping at your event
  • There will be amplified music at your event
  • There will be alcohol sales or consumption at your event

A Public Event Application Form must be submitted 6 weeks prior to your event occurring.  A $60 event assessment and approval fee will apply. Failure to seek approval may result in your event being shut down.
