Dividing fences
A dividing fence is a fence that separates two adjoining properties whether the fence is on the common boundary or on a line other than the common boundary.
Issues in relation to dividing fences are dealt with by the Dividing Fences Act 1961.

The Dividing Fences Act refers to a sufficient fence. For the Shire of Waroona they can be found in our Fencing Local Law 2014 which you can access here.
There are different requirements for different types of lots. The requirements are listed in the Schedules of the Local Law for Residential, Commercial, Industrial, Rural, Special Rural and Special use single residential lots.
