The Shire of Waroona invites you to join us for our annual Australia Day celebrations on Thursday, 26 January 2023 from 7:30am at Waroona Memorial Hall.
Start the day with breakfast thanks to Waroona Lions Club and then enjoy the free entertainment and kids’ activities, including face painting from Mandurah Mermaids, petting zoo from Old McDonalds Travelling Farm, mini golf, lawn games, craft activities, sheepdog demonstration, street parade, Just Cruizin Street Machiners car display and the Australia Day Awards ceremony.
This year, we’re also debuting a culture cooking demonstration featuring the cuisines of the Shire as cooked by some of our local residents. This cook-off will provide a small taste of multi-cultural life in Waroona.
Sip Van will also be joining us for anyone in need of an early morning pick-me-up!
Plus, for those who may need a moment away from crowds and noise, this year’s Australia Day celebration will feature an all-inclusive, low sensory Quiet Zone.
