Waroona Troutfest 2024 & Opening of Drakesbrook Weir Upgrades

The annual Waroona Troutfest will be held on the Saturday, 7th of September 2024
The whole family is invited to come along to the Waroona Troutfest to help hand release trout into the Drakesbrook Weir. The release will be held from 10am π£πΆππ¨π©π§π¦
The free family-friendly event will be held between 9am – 1pm and will also showcase the upgrades to the Weir featuring 6 Seasons Artwork & a new Nature Playground.
Come and can try your luck with Chas Riegert’s casting competition, learn how to fly-fish with WA Trout Freshwater Angling Association, try out Fishability’s accessible fishing stations, get trout tips from the Australian Trout Foundation and expand your freshwater fishing knowledge by speaking to the Department of Fisheries Officers.
The event will have food & refreshment vans, fishing stalls, games, activities, live music, cultural dancers and a PaddleFest competition hosted by the Lions & Leos Clubs of Waroona.
Please bring cash as not all stalls will have EFTPOS.
