Pest Plant Local Law 2024
The Shire of Waroona has resolved to make the Shire of Waroona Pest Plant Local Law 2024.
The purpose of this Local Law is to allow Council to specify pest plants within the Shire, provide a framework for effective pest plant control, and a means to enforce removal of pest plants from Shire and private land.
The effect of the proposed Shire of Waroona Pest Plant Local Law 2024 is that owners and occupiers of land within the district are to comply with the provisions of this local law.
A copy of the local law may be inspected at or obtained from the Shire’s Administration Office at 52 Hesse Street, Waroona, between 9.00am and 4.00pm Monday to Friday. A copy is also available here.
The local law was published in the Government Gazette on 31 May 2024 and will come into operation on 14 June 2024.
