Preston Beach Access Improvements

The Cook Labor State Government has granted the Shire of Waroona $100,000 to improve access to Preston Beach for all users. A Preston Beach working group looked at a number of options such as boardwalks and equipment to make the area more inclusive for all abilities, and improvements to the facilities at the carpark have been decided on. This includes a disabled access bbq, seating and table and accessible play equipment.

Local member Robyn Clarke MLA, who landed the grant funding for Preston Beach has welcomed the soon-to-start construction, which has been two years in the making.

Work will commence on the 21st May, outside of peak season, and fencing will be put in place to keep the public safe while the works are done.
